The Michigan Sailing Team is lucky to have two wonderful volunteer coaches, Max Caballero and Nathan Stevens.
Max is a graduate student at the University of Michigan College of Engineering. He completed his undergraduate education at the Coast Guard Academy, earning his degree in naval architecture and marine engineering. As an undergraduate, Max was a part of the Coast Guard Academy Sailing Team, where he crewed for their dinghy team and served as a captain for two years. Max has been with us since 2017, and he has been a valuable part of our team and practices. He has been an especially great resource for our crews.
Nathan is a graduate student at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He completed his undergraduate education at Yale University, where he earned his Political Science degree with Concentrations in International Security and Development. Nathan was a valuable member of the Yale University Sailing Team, where he competed as a skipper. Nathan joined us in 2018, and he has great experience and passion for coaching.
