SUMMARY

Eleven teams showed up to Baseline Lake to compete to qualify for ICSA Coed Nationals. Saturday’s breeze started at 10 knots, but died throughout the day. A fleet completed 8 races, but with the dying breeze, B fleet only completed 6 races. After the first day of racing, Michigan was tied with Northwestern for the lead.

Sunday’s breeze was slightly stronger in the morning at 12 knots, but it soon dropped to light conditions. Our sailors remained focused and pulled ahead to take the lead. Race Committee finished the regatta with a total of 11 races for each fleet. Our team ended up with a 7 point lead overall, winning both A & B Division!

This victory qualifies our team for ICSA Coed Nationals! Congratulations to University of Wisconsin, Northwestern University, University of Minnesota, and University of Notre Dame for also qualifying.
