Summary

Our women’s team headed to MIT to compete at the second women’s showcase event of the season. Saturday started off with a strong, shifty, southerly breeze. These conditions proved to have many good opportunities to get ahead by connecting puffs and staying in phase. Our A Fleet started off strong with two bullets in the first two sets. Throughout the day, the wind got a little stronger and puffier. Many teams capsized. Race committee got 10 races off for each division in the strong wind. Sunday saw slightly lighter conditions and wind from the Northwest. The regatta finished with 6 more races in very puffy conditions. B Fleet was able to learn from the conditions and put together some top 10 finishes. The team finished 11th overall. Thank you to our recent alumni Connor Goulet for coaching the team this weekend!
